Karl Grune's WATERLOO is a financial flop and put Emelka into difficulties. In his film, Grune took up Abel Gance's idea of projecting simultaneous events onto three screens. Gance puts his ideas in practice for the first time in NAPOLEON.
The glass workshop is destroyed by a severe hail storm on June 24. The new studio is built of bricks. As spotlight technique has progressed a long way in the meantime, people are no longer dependent on natural light.
The share capital is increased from three to five million Gold Marks. The German Reich acquires half a million new Emelka shares.
