With GEHEIMAKTE WB 1, Herbert Selpin films the life of Wilhelm Bauer, the Bavarian inventor of the submarine.

On January 10, the Cautio transfers its Bavaria shares to the Film Finanz GmbH in Berlin, which is simultaneously converted into the Ufa-Film GmbH (UFI). Thus, the Film Finanz GmbH is the 100% owner of the Bavaria Filmkunst.

PARACELSUS is produced by G.W. Pabst with Werner Krauss, Harald Kreutzberg and Fritz Rasp.

For the third time, but only completely filmed on the location for the first time, the film KOHLHIESELS TÖCHTER is produced. This time with Heli Finkenzeller and with Kurt Hoffmann as the director.
