The building of cutting house II starts. The new German regional films ICH LIEBE DICH, ICH TÖTE DICH (director: Uwe Brandner) and MATHIAS KNEISSL (director: Reinhard Hauff) are made. The first of the 39 parts of LERCHENPARK is produced. Heinz Liesendahl produces SAMMY DAVIS JR. IN EUROPE. Franz Peter Wirth directs OPERATION WALKÜRE in two parts, a documentary play which reconstructs the events of July 20, 1944 (assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler).
