The first of the 39 parts of LERCHENPARK is produced. Heinz Liesendahl produces SAMMY DAVIS JR. IN EUROPE. Franz Peter Wirth directs OPERATION WALKÜRE in two parts, a documentary play which reconstructs the events of July 20, 1944 (assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler).
