The new Bavaria VideoZentrum is opened on March 3. With the Satellite Video System, highly modern video technique, steered and controlled by a central computer system, is now available. ZWEI FRAUEN is the name of Carl Schenkel's film with Jami Gertz and Martha Plimpton. The cameraman is Dietrich Lohmann, the sets and costumes are from Nikos Perakis. For the TV series KNASTMUSIK, a prison decoration is set up in the former lamp hall. The director of the twelve-part series is Ulrich Stark. The studio shots for Ulrich Edel's LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN are done on the site. The first clapper board for the second part of the NEVER-ENDING STORY is heard on June 19. The Australian director George Miller is in charge. The producer is Dieter Geissler. Gabriel Barylli produces his stage play BUTTERBROT for the cinema. The film with Uwe Ochsenknecht, Heinz Hoenig and Gabriel Barylli becomes one of the most successful German films in the following year. Dominik Graf makes SPIELER with Hansa Czypionka, Peter Lohmeyer and Anica Dobra. The adventure series JOLLY JOKER with Stefan Fleming, Paul Hubschmid and Maja Maranow is produced for WWF at international locations. The film tour is given the STUNT SHOW as a new attraction. RTS PLUS produces DER PREIS IST HEISS in the film city.
